About this event

The 2023 Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights is open nightly Friday, November 10, 2023, through Sunday, January 7, 2024, including all holidays. Enjoy even more lights this year as Meadowlark Botanical Gardens sparkles with displays of flowers, animals, illuminated trees, and winter/holiday scenes. Please read all ticket policies prior to purchasing your tickets.

Proceeds from Meadowlark's Winter Walk of Lights helps to support Meadowlark Botanical Gardens and 33 other NOVA Parks sites. Visit www.novaparks.com for more information on our great parks throughout Northern Virginia.

TICKET POLICIES:

1. Every person, ages 2 and older, must have a ticket (excluding appreciation night honorees and kids buy one, get one free nights).

2. Tickets are nonrefundable. The Winter Walk of Lights is a 0.6 mile walk completely outdoors and remains open during rain and snow. If NOVA Parks cancels a night of the Winter Walk of Lights due to severe weather, ticket costs will be credited to your account. Eventbrite’s ticket transaction fees are nonrefundable.

3. Be certain to apply any promo/discount code when selecting your entry time, before you proceed to checkout. Tickets will not be refunded to be repurchased with a discount. The discount amount will not be refunded after tickets are purchased.

4. Prior to 2:00 p.m. on the date of the ticket date, a ticket may be transferred to another date or entry time online at eventbrite.com. Tickets cannot be transferred using the Eventbrite app. Tickets must be transferred at eventbrite.com. Purchases of more than one ticket cannot be transferred as an entire order. Tickets must be transferred individually and will thereafter be in separate orders with individual order numbers. Please note: It will look like you are transferring all of your tickets, but Eventbrite.com can only transfer one ticket at a time. After transferring each ticket, return to your Eventbrite account, select TICKETS and continue to transfer tickets one at a time. 5. Tickets are purchased for a specific date and for specific entry time. Ticket holders may not be admitted prior to their ticket’s entry time or beyond 30 minutes past the entry time. Congregating is not permitted in the Visitor Center.

6. Please meet your party in the circle in front of the Visitor Center. Congregating in the Visitor Center is not permitted.

7. Eventbrite ticket transaction fees are nonrefundable.

• Discount/promo/coupon codes are only valid November 14 through December 7, 2023, and January 1-7, 2024. Be sure to watch the how-to video prior to your purchase to ensure you apply your code. Promo codes are entered at the top of entry times windows—not at checkout. Coupons and other discounts may not be applied after purchase.

• A HELPFUL NOTE ABOUT YOUR TICKETS' ENTRY TIMES: On your Eventbrite ticket, your entry time is noted in the TICKET NAME, not the Event Start Time. For example: "6:30pm Admission"

• All tickets are final sale and are non-refundable. Tickets may be transferred to a different date/time prior 2pm on the date of the ticket. The availability of tickets for another date and time is not guaranteed. Tickets must be transferred prior to 2:00 p.m. on the ticket’s date.

TRANSFERRING A TICKET TO ANOTHER TIME AND/OR DATE:

Important Notes

- Ticket transfers should take place prior to 2:00pm on the ticket dates.

- Ticket cannot be transferred after the ticket’s entry time.

- Transferring tickets to other dates and times is not available through the Eventbrite app. Ticket transfers can only be done at Eventbrite.com (on a computer or mobile device).

- Tickets must be transferred one at a time. The Eventbrite system does not have the capability to transfer more than one ticket at a time. You must return to your original ticket order after each transfer to transfer the next ticket.

- You will receive a confirmation email for each ticket transferred.

- Once each ticket is transferred, each ticket will be in its separate order.

HOW TO:

1. It’s a good idea to go our regular ticket sales webpage and look at the new date/time you would like so you can see how many tickets are currently available. You don't want to get halfway through transferring all of your tickets only to find out that they are sold out for that entry time.

2. Log into your Eventbrite account or access your ticket order through the email confirmation you received when you purchased your tickets. Select the order to be changed.

2. EDIT/TRANSFER will be to the right. Click on TRANSFER.

3. Follow the prompts to select a new date (which is referred to as "event") and session time.

4. Return to your original ticket order and select the next ticket and go through these same steps to transfer it. This has to be done separately for each ticket.

5. An email confirmation will be sent for each ticket transferred. If you do not receive an email for each of your transfers, go back to your original order to determine which of your original tickets was not transferred.

SAFETY:

• Guests will not be allowed to congregate inside the Visitor Center. We encourage you to coordinate a meeting point in the circle in front of the Visitor Center.

• The Winter Walk is a one-way, dedicated trail.

• Please remain in your vehicle until your ticket’s entry time.

To expedite entry, please have your digital tickets pulled up on your device with your brightness maximized. Paper tickets are also permitted.

LIGHT UP WANDS, SABERS, HEADBANDS & ACCESSORIES and our annual Winter Walk of Lights ornament will be available for purchase in the Sips & Sparkles Shop.

SIPS & SPARKLES SHOP: Hungry? Looking for a hot beverage? Stop by the SIPS & SPARKLES SHOP. Warm up with hot chocolate, coffee. Adults showing valid ID can add some peppermint schnapps or Bailey's to their hot beverage for a little added cheer.

HOT PRETZELS and FUNNEL CAKES at the PARK STREET EATS FOODTRUCK: There’s something so warm, cozy, and yummy about hot pretzels and funnel cakes!

The S`mores Shack is the place to stop at the end of your Winter Walk. Buy a s`mores kit and hot chocolate and roast your marshmallows by the cozy fire.

Cash, VISA, AMEX and MasterCard are accepted. Outside food and beverages are prohibited.

RESTROOMS are available in the Visitor Center and portable toilets are located at the halfway point of the Walk near Park Street Eats Food Truck.

WEATHER: Be advised, this is an outdoor rain, snow, or shine event. Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets are transferable to another date prior to the event ticket time only.

PARKING is free but limited! Carpooling is encouraged. Please look for guests, especially small children, walking through the parking lots.

SAFETY: Please stay on the pathways at all times. Many light displays have electrical cords and support wires so please do not walk near or around displays. Please refrain from touching, climbing, or hanging on any displays or cords. If you see something unsafe, please let staff know immediately.

GREAT PHOTOS: Winter Walk is a beautiful place to take pictures! Bring your camera and capture memories! Be sure to tag us and post your photos on social media! Please stay on the paths for your safety. Portrait photography is not permitted.

PETS? Only Service animals are permitted at the Winter Walk of Lights and must follow leash laws. (Exception: Dog Nights--November 14, 21, 27, 28; December 5, 12, 2023, and January 2, 5, and 7, 2024. Dogs and human handlers must purchase tickets at Eventbrite.com.)

HOLIDAYS: Winter Walk of Lights is open on all holidays---that’s Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Day, and News Eve & Day! After your big holiday meal, why not take a walk among the beautiful lights? Buy your tickets online early.
