FFN works to empower filmmakers, amplify marginalised voices, and provide alternative narratives within Malaysia’s tightly controlled media landscape. Since its establishment, FFN has played a vital role in fostering a sustainable ecosystem for social filmmaking by offering capacity-building programmes, supporting the development and production of impactful films, and consulting on impact strategy and network-building. A core component of its work is organising the annual FreedomFilmFest, Malaysia’s leading human rights film festival, which showcases powerful social films from across the world. Please learn more about the organisation on the website:https://freedomfilm.my/
