I grew up in a big, creative, and diverse family where music was celebrated and a major part of our upbringing.I kicked off my career in 2006 in Nairobi? Kenya, where I had great opportunities to work with people in the industry.I moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 2009, and it brought an opportunity to diversify my djing career. I had opportunities at clubs, radio stations, festivals, and concerts that moved my Dj career on a professional path.In 2013, it was time for a new challenge in a bigger city, I moved to Toronto. It had its challenges to settle and build partnerships in the industry, but I eventually found my footing.In 2015, I was awarded 2nd place in the 1st ever all African Dj competition. That played a big role in my career in Toronto.Over the years, I've played at various clubs, concerts, and private events. I have been on big stages playing for artists like Chameleon (Uganda), Sheeba (Uganda), Diamond (Tanzania), Alikiba (Tanzania) Sauti sol (Kenya) Kidum (Rwanda) Mr Vegas (Jamaica)I have been passionate at growing the Afro-beat genre in Toronto and worked in partnership with successful Afro groups, i.e., Afro-beat in the 6ix & East Africa Connect who have been key players in growing Afro-beat movement here in Toronto.The Afro-beat industry is growing rapidly and glad to be part of that growth.Currently, I am a resident Dj at La'shish in the Vaughan area.A top Afro-beat club in Toronto that hosts a number of celebrities occasionally.I am eager to learn and grow, taking every opportunity with a professional approach.As I always say...
