Jon graduated from the Ohio Peace Officers (OPOTA) basic peace officer training academy in Columbus, OH and then earned his degree in the field of Criminal Justice. He started his career in armed security working as a patrol officer for a resort community. He then went on working as an Officer of the Court & Investigator, maintaining defendant case management, apprehending violators of court orders, and serving arrest warrants. Jon also served on the State of Ohio’s Special Operations Division and Crisis Intervention Team, for the Department of Rehabilitation & Corrections. While working as the Major of the physical security division at Bee-Safe, he served as an Intelligence Liasson Officer to Ohio Homeland Security and has completed the National Association of School Resource Officers training program. These amongst many other certifications, helped aid in his passion for educating students, teachers, and other school faculty, on the topics related to security, based in educational environments. After becoming an OPOTA Commander and instructor, he has now moved to the position of Director of Training and Operations.Quote from me….“Out of all the different positions I have held, security has always served as the primary objective.
