2024 Le Touquet Weekend Trip

Le Touquet Paris Plage has a reputation as the most elegant holiday resort of northern France, the playground of rich Parisians, with many luxury hotels, holiday homes and apartments. Plage is simply Beach in French!

Since the mid-1990s, Le Touquet’s villas have become extremely fashionable amongst architecture lovers throughout Europe, rediscovering the “folie” of seaside architecture of both the Roaring Twenties and the 1930s. The most famous local architect is Louis Quetelart, whose style was named after him: Louis Quetelart Style.

We have allocated the Saturday and Sunday for this Fly Out, creating the opportunity for an overnight stay for those that are able or maybe just a day trip to explore flying in Europe for the first time.

There’s plenty to do in Le Touquet and some great restaurants too. It is a pleasant walk along tree lined streets to the town centre. On a Saturday there is a local market to enjoy along with shopping on the famous Rue St Jean, plus of course the beach and Aqualand. There’s lots of local golf courses, bike hire from the airport and there’s Segway and horse riding tours for the more adventurous.

You might want to visit the lighthouse or museum before retiring to the pub to be regaled with stories of members past who have visited Le Touquet and been chased down the street by the local geandarme!

Weekend Trip: Departing from Enstone Airfield Saturday 13th July at 10:00 local time. Flight time 1.5 / 2 hours. Returning Sunday at approximately 17:00

We currently have 5 hotel rooms booked at The Novatel on beach front in the centre of Le Touquet. These are twin rooms at £139 per person. Please contact office@takeflightaviation.com if you would like to secure this room.

Cost: Aircraft Hire, Bike Hire, Hotel (if you’re staying) food and any attractions.

Day Trip: Departing Enstone Airfield on either the Saturday or Sunday at a time to suit and to return when ready.

Can I come as a passenger or flight share? You can team up with another member to fly certain legs, or come as a passenger and work out a contribution towards fuel. If you are student why not ask your instructor to plan this as a lesson?!

Can I bring a guest? If you’re taking an aircraft as many as you want subject to weight limitations! If you are a passenger please register for the amount of tickets you require and I will let you know what space is available.
