University of Maryland Extension (UME) is the "outreach arm" of the University-- bringing reliable, research-based, non-biased information, resources, and events to you in your community.There is an Extension office in every county and in Baltimore City. Each office offers a variety of different programs, services, and specialties based on the needs of the areas being served. Through the Caroline County, Maryland UME Office, we offer services and resources from a variety of program areas:Rena Brooks: SNAP-Ed Project Leader and Educator (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program educational outreach)Crystal Terhune: Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) Educator (Life skills, financial wellness, mental health, and overall wellness!)Navonne Owen: 4-H Youth Development Program LeaderLisa McKenna: 4-H Program AssistantNevin Dawson: Northeast SARE PDP Assoc. Programs are usually offered in-person for various groups and some are able to be delivered online. Extension programming provides educational opportunities to help people (individually, and collectively) make sound decisions about their lives, businesses, and communities.In other words, we strive to provide you with the information and tools you need in order to make decisions and choices that are best for you, your family, and your community.
