Empowering Student Leaders of TomorrowThe primary focus of the Kern County Student Leadership program is to build relationships with student leaders and thereby influence, encourage, motivate, and inspire these young people to be leaders of integrity, enthusiasm, commitment, and respect. Having 8-10 community leaders commit 1 hour/month, 7-8 times a year to one campus allows them to get to know these students well and facilitate the building of relationships.VISION- To assist young people in developing the confidence necessary to become leaders of character and value.MISSION- Engaging students with honest, transparent dialogue and examples of servant leadership to attain personal success and fulfillment.CORE VALUES- Integrity ∙ Enthusiasm ∙ Commitment ∙ RespectWHY WE EXIST: To give back to the community by encouraging and developing young adult leaders of character, integrity, and purpose.WHAT WE STAND FOR: The well-being of youth and the community in which they reside.WHO DO WE DO IT FOR: High schoolers with leadership qualities who haven’t scratched the surface of their potential.HOW DO WE DO IT: Monthly site meetings utilizing honest and transparent dialogue, connections, leadership, and examples.
