Renée Reizman is an interdisciplinary curator, artist and writer at the crossroads of curation, social practice and critical spatial practice. She conducts long term research to examine cultural aesthetics and their relationship between urbanization, law, and technology. Renée embeds herself in communities to identify object-oriented networks that shape culture and society.In 2014, Renée co-founded ITSWOLF, a curatorial collective that created temporary, ad hoc communal experiences. She has organized a number of exhibitions, performances, interactive installations, and workshops forMachine Project,The Women’s Center for Creative Work,826LA, and the Room Gallery at the University of California, Irvine. Some venues where she has exhibited work include the UCLA Broad Arts Center, Irvine Fine Arts Center and the Art Slope Art Festival in New York. Her writing has appeared inNew York Magazine,The Atlantic,Chicago Magazine,Hyperallergic,The Outline,The Awl, andReal Life Magazine. In 2017, she was an artist in residence atArt Farmin Marquette, Nebraska. Renée is an MFA candidate in Critical & Curatorial Studies at the University of California, Irvine and the coordinator forGraduate Media Design Practicesat ArtCenter College of Design.
