The AKATeens of Detroit Leadership Program is sponsored by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Foundation of Detroit. This program is comprised of young ladies from various high schools in the Metropolitan Detroit Area.  We provide a nurturing environment that encourages females in grades nine through twelve to build confidence, character, and self-esteem as they explore:• Leadership, Ethics and Character Development • Financial Literacy• Health Awareness• Life Skills• Citizenship Building• Community Service• Financial Aid & Scholarship Opportunities are provided for the young women in our organization to interact with community leaders, attend seminars, workshops and conferences, along with social activities that provide friendship and fun.
