SAFE Ireland is working to make Ireland the safest country in the world for women and children. As a national social change agency, we are changing culture, understanding, leadership and the whole system response to male violence against women in intimate relationships. We are a key part of the infrastructure in Ireland to transform the response to domestic violence and work to reduce the prevalence of domestic violence in Ireland. We understand that domestic violence is everybody's business and that together across all our different professional and community settings we can make significant differences in the response and prevention of domestic violence. To help deepen understanding we have been successfully delivering a range of public learning events over the past number of years including groundbreaking Safe Ireland and Safe World Summits in 2016 and 2018 respectively. In particular, we are growing a specialist community of practitioners from across disciplines in order to strengthen the whole system response to women and children through shared dialogue, reflective practice and evidence-basedunderstanding. Key to this approach is our strategy to centre stage the needs and experiences of women and children in all that we do.If you are working in any field where you have contact with women and children then you too have a role with us in helping make Ireland the safest country in the world. There is plenty of room onboard our train to our exciting destination of a safe Ireland for all.
