About Anu:Hi! I'm a Canadian artist currently based in Cambridge Ontario. I've spent my career working in the non-profit sector, but have always tried to stay in touch with my creative side. Whether it be taking visual art courses throughout high school and University, participating in local shows and art markets, or attending workshops to explore new art styles and mediums, art and painting have always been a prominent part of my life. Through my several moves around the province, I have always found community through art workshops, and other events for creatively curious people.About The Space:For this reason I am especially excited to have the opportunity to create a serene space that fosters this same connection! I'm so excited to be able to share The Sunroom with the KWC tri-cities! The Sunroom is a bright airy studio space in Hespeler Village. It looks out at a green landscape full of folliage and occasional cherry blossom and magnolia blooms. Its hard not to feel inspired and at peace when you enter the space.About the Workshop:Creating something is not about a finished piece, rather its about the feeling of picking your pallet and mixing paint, experimenting with mediums and finding beauty in the unintentional. My goal with these workshops is to create just that- a space that inspires and connects you with nature, offers the basic skills and practice to get you comfortable with your tools, and allows you to create a truly unique masterpiece and the confidence to do it again!
