Project Veteran House (PVH) was founded by Joseph Barnette, a United States Army veteran with a steadfast dedication to serving those who have served. As Executive Director, Joseph envisioned PVH as a safe haven and support network for veterans facing the challenges of homelessness, mental health struggles, and reintegration into civilian life. His personal experiences and encounters with fellow veterans in need inspired him to create a space where veterans could find not only essential resources but also dignity, community, and hope.PVH started with modest efforts—distributing survival kits filled with essentials like coats, tents, and food to veterans on the streets. Joseph’s deep understanding of veterans' struggles resonated within the community, drawing support from local organizations and compassionate individuals who believed in his vision. Over time, PVH expanded its services to include emergency shelter nights, career training programs, and holistic mental health support, such as equine therapy, art therapy, and other PTSD-focused activities.Today, Project Veteran House also organizes fundraising events, where all donations and ticket sales directly support providing homeless veterans with temporary housing and vital survival equipment. These efforts ensure that veterans have access to basic necessities and the tools they need to regain stability and rebuild their lives.Under Joseph’s leadership, Project Veteran House has become a beacon of hope, transforming lives by providing essential support and a renewed sense of purpose for veterans in need. His mission remains simple yet profound: to ensure that no veteran is left behind, building a community of compassion and respect for those who gave so much.
