After experiencing the loss of her mother Freddie Marie Christian in 2001 to Domestic Violence, Carrie had no choice but to take courage to the next level. She knew that growing beyond the wounds from the pain and trauma of losing her mother at such a young age, would require healing. So she sought out counseling, among other resources, to aid in her journey towards healing. In her research on cases of domestic violence, she realized that it was more widespread an issue than she could have ever imagined. Learning more about various abuses, she took the time to gain knowledge on how to spread awareness on domestic violence.Carrie’s goal was, and is, to offer supportive resources, help victims stand in courage, and find their power to speak up. She experienced sexual abuse as a child, abuse in unhealthy relationships, and suicidal thoughts that made her feel hopeless.I would not be here today without my belief in knowing that God has a purpose for my life. Stand in courage with me as we continue to encourage one another.
