Saskatchewan Long Riders (SLR) serves as the provincial organization for endurance riding in Saskatchewan. We are committed to expanding the sport's reach and encouraging its development, with a strong focus on safeguarding the health and welfare of our equine partners.What is Endurance? - Endurance Riding is a competitive equine event for riders of all ages and horses of all breeds. It is a timed test of an individual horse/rider team's ability to traverse a marked, measured cross-country "trail" over natural terrain for 50 miles, 75 miles, or 100 miles in a single day. Endurance riding provides all levels of opportunity from intro to competitive for all ages. It is family-oriented with a supportive and welcoming community of riders. There is nothing quite like riding down scenic trails with endless time spent with your equine partner.
