Caridad is a Las Vegas non-profit established since 2010 with the mission of humanizing the homeless. Caridad operates the following programming:Caridad Gardens: A jobs program for formerly homeless and disabled veterans using gardening to reintegrate them back into the workforce; Gardeners grow produce that is sold to local bar and restaurant partners.BETtermnent Community: BETterment Community is a new collaborative bridge housing, employment, and training program aimed at helping people transition out of homelessness and into permanent housing in 90 days or less. Clients are expected to be active participant in all programming and be fully integrated into our therapeutic community.dT -Alley:Started as a program to maintain what is known as the “Las Vegas Art Alley,” located behind the Fremont East Businesses. Has grown to contracts for service. Clean teams have contracts to clean nine blocks of downtown businesses. The teams are trained in hazardous waste removal and even work with the Life Is Beautiful Festival to clean the festival footprint before and after the festival.Hebron: Hebron is a therapeutic community with a focus on restoration using best practices low barriers and harm reduction.
Located on Las Vegas Boulevard, the 124-unit property has endless possibilities for community partners and volunteers. Tenants are comprised of low-income, fixed-income seniors, Veterans and transitional homeless clients being case managed by our community housing partners. Hebron has a community room as well as food pantry onsite for residents.
