Hi, I am StefI am an IMTA accredited Zen Mindfulness and Meditation teacher, a Qi-Gong practitioner and an innate wellbeing coach. I have trained with Zen Master Daizan Skinner, the first Englishman to go to Japan and gain permission to teach in both lineage of Zen and I am part of the Zenways community of teachers.A former C-suite executive, mum of two, nature lover, garden enthusiast and keen equestrian, today I spend my time sharing what I have learnt over two decades of personal journey to empower others reclaiming their wellbeing from the inside in order to lead a larger, fuller, more centred life.I have founded Hasu Innate Wellbeing to help others access those inner resources that can transform our life experience from the inside out and create a sense of inner worth, balance and resilience from which to navigate our lives. And like the lotus flower (Hasu (蓮 or はす) in Japanese) raise from the mud to our own individual radiance.Teaching Zen meditation and mindfulness in all its forms is a core part of my work, as well as sharing key principles of modern science so that we can learn how to calm our minds, feel grounded in our bodies and ultimately live a more centred and authentic life.It is my belief that true wellbeing comes from within and it is therefore accessible to anyone regardless their circumstances.I view wellbeing as the ability to meet our daily lives from a resourced place, in alignment with our authentic self. It is not just about being physically healthy but also about having a mindset that enables us to move through life’s difficulties with grace, humour and the quiet courage it takes to begin again not once but as many times as necessary.I call it ‘Find your Zen’. This journey is accessible to anyone, all it takes is curiosity, an open mind and ultimately practice.I offer classes, mindful workshops, courses, retreats and one to one, both in person and online. Everything I share in my programmes is well road tested in my own life as well as rooted in thousand years old traditions and backed by modern science and over 40 years of scientific research.
