He also has experience managing DHS–Federal Protective Service contract guards.A former NYPD Auxiliary Police Officer, Dr. Velasquez brings a strong law enforcement foundation to his work. He also served for 12 years as a volunteer firefighter and District Chief, leading teams through fires, disasters, mass casualty incidents, and hazardous materials responses. His calm, mission-focused leadership stands out in high-pressure environments.Dr. Velasquez is also the Founder and President of Disaster Response Ministries International (DRMI), a nonprofit organization providing disaster relief, emotional support, and spiritual care during crises. He holds a Doctor of Strategic Leadership and a Master of Divinity, and he is a Master Certified Coach and Biblical Counselor with expertise in trauma, crisis intervention, and grief care.Through both professional excellence and faith-based service, Dr. Velasquez continues to empower others, protect communities, and respond with compassion in times of need.
