Queens in Pearls, Inc. is a registered 501c3 non-profit committed to providing positive mentorship, leadership skills, educational programming, and a safe place for girls to enrich their lives while also instilling confidence and self-esteem. We run solely on donations from local community members. Our Queens are girls aged 9 and above and are primarily students of local Elementary, Middle and High Schools. We offer mentorship, parent support, educational programs, afterschool programs, book club, intersession camps, summer camps, field trips, etc. to young women with little to no cost. We believe that all young women should have diverse leadership, structure, education, and direction no matter their background. We currently have the opportunity to provide our services to the youth in the Alamance County area. The majority of our participants are considered economically disadvantaged, due to the demographic of the area we serve. We strive to keep young women safe, occupied, and engaged in a positive learning environment, and not left at home alone.MISSION STATEMENTOur mission is to build our young girls with much needed positive direction and guidance. Providing a safe, caring, comfortable and diverse environment. Teaching them how to be accountable for their choices, behaviors and acknowledging that there are consequences. We are a place where each girl can be herself freely. No judgment; just encouragement with ZERO tolerance for disrespectfulness, drama and/or bullying.VISIONOur vision is to help teach the future generations of girls to be encouraging and supportive and to understand the value of supporting and encouraging one another. To teach them that we as women can work together in spite of our differences and it is ok. Learn how to cope and manage with life’s adversities. Assisting with building self-confidence and self-esteem. Creating a lifetime of sisterhood for a future of a diverse Queendom of strong, respectful, understanding & intelligent young women.
