Stand Up in the Basement is Southampton’s top comedy club, bringing you unforgettable comedy nights in the heart of Southampton city centre. Established in 2017, we’ve become the go-to destination for comedy enthusiasts, showcasing a mix of rising newcomers and seasoned veterans.Our monthly shows, held on the last Tuesday of every month at Heartbreakers Bar & Venue, feature top comedians from popular TV shows like Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Would I Lie To You?, Live at the Apollo, and Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow. Our stage has hosted stars from Taskmaster, Britain’s Got Talent, and Ricky Gervais’ ‘Derek’, along with big-screen names like Dave Johns (Fishermen’s Friends, I, Daniel Blake) and Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso).The evening is hosted by our award-winning compere, Colin Owens, who brings his unique blend of charm and wit to the stage.
