Outdoor Promise is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a more inclusive and sustainable outdoor experience for all. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore, connect with, and protect the natural world, regardless of their background or circumstances. That’s why we’ve designed our programs to focus on equitable access for youth, families, and individuals who have been historically underrepresented in outdoor recreation.Our programs combine service-learning projects, community engagement, outdoor exploration, and education to inspire and support the next generation of outdoor leaders. We believe that an engaged community working together can make a real difference in protecting the environment, starting in their own backyards. As our population becomes more urban, it’s more important than ever to provide opportunities for people to experience the beauty and awe of nature and become engaged, responsible citizens.
