Concordia Chamber Players was founded in 1997 in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Artistic Director, Michelle Djokic who hails from the Bucks County area, endeavors to unveil some lesser known musical compositions while also presenting treasured masterpieces of chamber music. Their audience has come to relish in witnessing a vast musical repertoire, spanning all centuries, performed by a stellar list of exceptional guests artists. Past standout performances have included an all-female composer program with pieces by Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, Amy Beach and Louise Farrenc, a percussion-forward concert featuring works by modern composer Andy Akiho, a "Notable Encounter” performed at the Nakashima Woodworking Studios, "Players and Poets" with pieces including Edward Elgar and Ralph Vaughan Williams featuring acclaimed tenor Nicholas Phan among many other incredible concerts.The depth of talent of the Concordia family of musicians, ranging from veteran to award-winners to young protégées all come together to perform in the intimate setting unique to bucolic Bucks County.
