Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, founded January 13, 1913, is an organization of college educated women committed to constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the Black community.Contra Costa Alumnae Chapter has developed and implemented community-based programs, which align with the sorority’s Five Point Program Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health and Political Awareness and Involvement. We continue to educate and stimulate participation by implementing various community activities such as: public policy and providing solutions for problems impacting African American communities in Contra Costa County.
