Costigan's Pub“Serving the people of Cork since 1827”Costigan’s Traditional Irish pub is without doubt one of Cork’s oldest and finest pubs, nestled in the heart of Washington Street, Cork City. Costigan’s Pub, a beloved Cork institution, traces its roots back to 1827 when it was owned by John and Hanora Murphy. Initially, the premises was two separate buildings, No. 10 Washington Street operated as a fishmongers, while No. 11 served as a pub. Over the years, the two buildings underwent various transformations, including ownership changes, periods doubling up as a grocer, a bootmaker, and even a stint as a flour and meal store.Through the centuries Costigan’s has retained its Irish character. It is an old style public house with its long bar counter, snug and parlour area; not to mention the open fire and heated beer garden. We are very proud of our extensive Irish whiskey and Irish gin selection from Cork and the rest of Ireland, Costigan’s Traditional Irish Pub is the perfect setting to enjoy a drink or two. Costigans’ stunning individual architecture provides the ideal atmosphere to enjoy one of Ireland’s most traditional pubs.Céad Míle Fáilte!
