Our mission as a club is to serve children in need in Vigo County.The Terre Haute Women's Club was founded in July 1971 by Scotty Terhune & Pat Derks.  Today we serve the children of Vigo County by providing grades K-12 with brand new athletic shoes through our "Shoe Bus Project".  Children are recommended by school nurses for new shoes.  Students receiving shoes also receive two pairs of new socks.  The club purchases all the shoes and some of the socks.  The shoes are then distributed through the use of a modified van that makes weekly "Shoe Bus Runs" to Vigo County schools.All proceeds from donations and our fundraisers solely benefit the "Shoe Bus" project.If you or anyone you know would be interested in joining the Terre Haute Women's Club and volunteering for the Shoe Bus Project, email us at TerreHauteWomensClub@gmail.com .
