Southampton Safeguarding Children Partnership (SSCP) is a statutory body that leads on keeping children safe and ensuring their wellbeing in Southampton. The statutory safeguarding partners (Southampton City Council Children's Services, Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group, and Hampshire Constabulary) have equal responsibility for this function and work with wider partners to oversee the safety and wellbeing of children in the city.Southampton Safeguarding Adults Board (SSAB) is a group of partner organisations who work together to improve the safety and wellbeing of adults at risk of harm in Southampton. The SSAB ensures that safeguarding activities are of a high quality and in line with the Care Act 2014. ‘Making Safeguarding Personal’ is at the heart of the SSAB, working with adults at risk of abuse, neglect or exploitation.
