Sue Mann is based in Killay, Swansea. Originally from Falmouth, Cornwall, she made Wales her home in 1989 and now lives on the doorstep of Gower. Painting is a force which has driven her since the age of 12 when she knew she wanted to paint seriously. Her motto is to create forever, her creativity extends to writing poetry, writing for children, adults and songwriting.During and after her studies at Falmouth School of Art and West Surrey College of Art & Design she has concentrated on landscape and metaphor, always working from reality, often on location outside at the mercy of adders, weather, animals and insects, sometimes reconstructing from observation. Sue’s projects have included murals in primary schools, teaching in secondary schools in Cardiff and Swansea, tutoring and exhibiting.The artist grinds pigment to make her own oils and egg tempera paint. Sue exhibits in Wales, Cornwall, Chelsea and Norfolk and has led workshops in Wales and Norfolk. Her work is collected in the UK and Venice.
