Dr. Lulu is a queer Nigerian-born pediatrician, mom of a transgender daughter, former Lt. Col., Disabled US Air Force Veteran, 3-time TEDx Speaker, certified parent/life/gender and sexuality coach, corporate consultant and adjunct professor.She was named the 2021 San Antonio LGBT Chamber Youth Advocate of the Year, 2022 San Antonio Business Journal D.E.I honoree and was a 2023 finalist for the San Antonio National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) 2023 “Rising Star” Award. She was also named the Pioneer of the Year by the Trans Life Awards in Atlanta, GA in August 2024!Dr. Lulu was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey on “The Life You Want” Masterclass on Service, CBS This Morning and has appeared in numerous locally, nationally and internationally syndicated media. Her ultimate mission is youth advocacy particularly for Black gender-diverse youth.Dr. Lulu is the CEO of Dr. Lulu’s PRIDE Corner, an all-inclusive gender-affirming coaching & Consulting practice which helps families navigate the often-tumultuous journey of affirming their LGBTQ+ children.Her speaking focus is primarily on allyship and affirmation of the LGBTQ+ community. She is also the chief host of “Moms for Trans Kids Podcast” and her Non-profit organization focuses on mentorship and providing affirming homes for unhoused LGBTQ+ youth.She is the bestselling author of 7 books including “A Teen’s Life” and "How to Teach Your Children About Racism” (available on Amazon).
