About the Speakers

Alvin Koay

Alvin is best known for his intuitive style of painting and bold use of colors. He has been painting for over a decade and is a sought-after speaker on NFTs and generative art.

Alvin's style is influenced by the abstract expressionism movement of post-World War II, with notable inspirations from artists such as Willem de Kooning, Basquiat, Picasso, and others. He uses acrylic on canvas as his preferred medium and creates works that are spontaneous, improvisational, and reflective of his emotions and state of mind, inspired by nature, animals, and personal experiences.

In addition to his passion for painting, Alvin is also an entrepreneur who runs multiple businesses in e-commerce, marketing, international import/export, and media.

In 2014, his technology startup company won both the business category and the overall winner at an international tech startup competition organized by The Guardian. His company, MobileAds.com, created interactive rich media ad campaigns for major international brands such as Softbank, Mercedez, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Proctor & Gamble, Unilever and others.

Alvin's generative art collection, "Bulat-Bulat", has been displayed at NFT art exhibitions in London, Dubai, and Croatia.
