Echoes Author with the VoV Community ProjectMeet Gwen Madden, a Community Development Manager, Youth worker, Minister of the Gospel, Vocal Coach, Entertainer. Extraordinaire.Married 39 yrs, 3 adult children and 7 grand children.Gwen's talents blossomed in the vibrant city of Sheffield, where she honed her skills and touched countless lives. One her most remarkable talents is playwriting. A passion she occasionally let's shine through her life experiences. Captivating audiences with shows and drama pieces.Gwen’s theatrical journey includes memorable productions such as; ‘Mamma I really wanna sing’ Birmingham 1986.‘Behold the Lamb’ Library Theatre, 1993 + 1995.‘Changes’ with the company of the Nubian Queens base at the Hub, Sheffield. She has also brought a modern twist to Christmas nativities in various community centres in Mansfield, Nottingham, Birmingham and London. In 2016, Gwen founded the Voice of Vision Community Choir with Sarah Burke in Nottingham. Two years later, Gwen introduced to the choir the script, Echoes of The Front Room. This led to over 20 theatre performances across the UK: Birmingham, Brighton, Nottingham, London Derby now visiting Sheffield. These performances have also taken place in adverse venues including hospitals, prisons. Schools and city marketplaces. Echoes of the Front Room is a three-part interactive comedy play that humorously explores the cultural habits, sayings and behaviours connected with the Caribbean community. This play has generated positive feedback every time it has been seen. We have noted people with memory issues come to life, taking part in the show through song or rearranging the furniture on stage as they remember, shouting and participating with the Caribbean sayings.Gwen Madden's passion and creativity continue to inspire and entertain, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encounters.
