I’m excited and honored to be nominated for the American Heart Association Woman of Impact campaign. We are a team of changemakers who are excited to engage our networks to make the biggest impact possible on heart health! We’re raising much-needed funds for the American Heart Association and working to improve the health of our communities. I am hoping I can count on your support!This initiative is very important to me. I’ve had the privilege of promoting The Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute over the last 8 years, and I've shared hundreds of amazing patient stories, like Maureen’s, who's lives have been saved thanks to amazing physicians, new technology and groundbreaking research. But I’ve also seen the devastating effects heart disease can have on those we love, those in our community and the ongoing upward trend of heart disease in our country, including several of my own family members.Go Red for Women is the trusted, passionate force for change. It provides a platform for women and their families to lead healthier lives and transform communities. It’s about:1. Providing opportunities for people to take charge of their health2. We’re promoting healthy lifestyles, building awareness and raising critically-needed funds to support research and education initiatives.How are we doing this:My team is hosting 2 CPR training classes:1. Newport Central Catholic High School on Wednesday, February 16 at 6:30pm.2. The Warehouse on Saturday, March 4 at 10am$20 a person, 60 minute commitment, light bites and drinks and will be CPR certified.We are also encouraging business to consider sponsoring a table, or purchasing tickets, for this year’s Go Red Experience at Great American Ballpark on May 12 (details attached).
