In 1993 Abbeyfeale were offered the opportunity to host Fleadh Cheoil Luimnigh. This proved to be such an outstanding success, that the committee was requested to also host the 1994 Fleadh Cheoil. With the experience gained from these two major events, the committee decided to organize their own Traditional Music Festival in 1995 - and so Fleadh by the Feale was born.The festival is held on the May Bank Holiday weekend each year, with concerts, pub sessions, workshops & countless other events being held across the weekend.
