Clay Papa is a human named Claire Nagy-Kato (she/they). Some people call her Fairy Claire, others call her Clay. She is a DJ, sonic storyteller, movement guide, and interactive artist based in Charlotte, NC. Clay Papa creates movement experiences that are tailored to the nervous system. They tease the edges of our resistance to find expansion in our body and our reality. She studied with DJ Tasha Blank in Powerhouse DJ School on the art of facilitating transformative movement experiences.Outside of DJing, Claire works in climate solutions primarily through sustainable sourcing, fungi and foraging, nature literacy, and storytelling. She believes dance is an inevitable ingredient to addressing the climate crisis and reshaping our society. She dares you to convince her that we can build a sustainable world without dance.
