I've had the incredible privilege of living in nine countries and visiting 41, each leaving its mark on my journey. From summiting the peaks of Bukhansan to hiking through South Korea’s cypress forests and tea plantations, every adventure has shaped me. I’ve swum in the Atlantic and Pacific across three continents, camped along both coasts of the U.S., and explored the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Horseback riding across the Midwest plains, wandering the vibrant markets of Seoul, strolling the bustling streets of New York, and walking the famed Seven Hills of Lisbon—each experience has been unforgettable.I've sand-surfed the deserts of Saudi Arabia, sailed the Arabian Sea, and wandered the historic streets of Heidelberg, Colmar, Granada, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Munich, Berlin, Basel, Zurich, Karlsruhe, and Paris—just to name a few. And who could ever forget the breathtaking coastlines of Normandy?Through these diverse experiences, I’ve learned to embrace open-mindedness, appreciate life’s little moments, and seize opportunities as they come. Most importantly, I’ve discovered that the best experiences are meant to be shared.Since 2020, I’ve called Freiburg home—a picturesque city surrounded by the majesty of the Black Forest, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. With over 900 years of history, Freiburg offers the charm of a small town with the vibrancy of a cultural hub. Its winding alleys, historic Bächle, and inviting Gässle lead to countless hidden gems. But be careful—if you're single and step into a Bächle, legend says you’re destined to marry a local! For nature lovers, Freiburg is a gateway to adventure, with nine mountains within the city and 19 more close by. The region’s culture is just as rich as its landscapes, from the irresistible flavors of Black Forest cake to the world-class wines of Markgräflerland—Eiswein is a must-try! Local traditions thrive through festivals like Fastnacht, wine celebrations, open-air picnics, music festivals, and magical Christmas markets. Even the city’s history holds romance, with a 158-year-old love story that still captivates hearts today.Beyond Freiburg, the region offers breathtaking sights: Lake Titisee, the dramatic Ravenna Gorge, and the exhilarating Schauinsland cable car, which glides above mountain forests for nearly 20 minutes. The hanging bridge at Todtnau is an adventure on a windy day, while Triberg boasts Germany’s highest waterfalls and a museum dedicated to Black Forest heritage. At the Black Forest Open Air Museum, 600 years of regional history come to life, with a scenic 19th-century replica train ride to complete the journey.I could go on forever, but words can only capture so much—come experience it for yourself!
