Hello! <3 I'm Becca, a natural dye artist based in South Wales. I mostly work from my small home studio in the valleys where my whippet Cassie keeps me company and I have quick access to my kitchen for snacks.Since 2022 I've been sharing my natural dye knowledge with others through workshops. I look to provide a wholesome, positive experience where you can learn new skills, reduce the environmental impact of your wardrobe, and make pretty things with friends or like-minded strangers. I believe in using creativity as a practical way of relieving eco-anxiety, taking small steps towards living a more sustainable lifestyle.I dedicate my practice to exploring the world of natural pigments; harvesting, extracting, and applying them to natural fibres to create colourful, sustainable textiles. Natural dyeing is a holistic practice with a sometimes unpredictable nature that encourages playful experimentation. It can be easily integrated with other creative practices for slow making and it invokes a mindful connection with our clothes.
