Environmental Youth Alliance (EYA) is a non-profit based in East Vancouver on the unceded, shared territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations. We empower youth from equity-deserving communities to become environmental stewards through free land-based education and paid employment training programs. Our workshops seek to create a greater sense of community through activities designed to learn about and connect with nature. In a similar way to our youth programs, we strive to make land-based learning accessible to everyone, creating environmental awareness that often leads to a greater drive for environmental stewardship and climate action from the local community.
