Since its inception in 2015, Power of Two has partnered with caregivers in New York City to promote a healthy, happy start for infants, toddlers, and their families. Long histories of racial inequality and economic disparities have perpetuated intergenerational trauma and toxic stress for Black and Brown families and communities. Power of Two responds to these inequities by centering the caregiver-child relationship and providing parenting and family support that creates lasting physical and emotional wellbeing. We do this by partnering directly with families to: deliver the highly effective, evidence-based Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-up (ABC) parent coaching program, apply our on-the-ground knowledge of family needs and community dynamics to connect families with additional services, and contribute to broader community advocacy initiatives.
