The purpose of Fashion and Student Trend is to provide opportunities for students interested in fashion or the fashion industry to learn from other students and experts in the field. We hold a fashion show at the end of each semester, featuring student designers and student models. We strive to provide our students/audience with the experience of a real fashion show. We also invite experts in the fashion industry to talk to us about future career development and opportunities.In addition to designing and modeling, we have departments for photography, styling, and beauty (hair and makeup artists). We also offer opportunities to participate in public relations, professional development, marketing, graphic design, finance, and publications. No experience is necessary, just a passion for fashion.Our club aims to help students network with each other, and we foster this through social events throughout the semester such as trips to see fashion showcases in the San Francisco Bay Area. We constantly try to diversify our activities to attract a larger variety of members.Lastly, philanthropy is a fundamental part of FAST. Half of all proceeds raised at our fashion shows go to a reputable charity each semester.
