Justice Our Way is about developing a plan for action that reflects the priorities of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. It is about coming together to shape a roadmap to prevent and reduce Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples contact with the criminal justice system in Townsville. Having a plan will mean we can work together better, directing resources to areas that can make the biggest change, designing cultural solutions, leading systems reform, closing services gaps and strengthening existing services and programs.Our mission: We listen to the voices of the Townsville community to drive community solutions and systems change by working together to reduce the incarceration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, women and children.Our vision: Justice Our Way is about giving power and resources back to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community to lead our own solutions.
