I’m Marcaine Simon, a proud Haitian-American from Boston, MA, now living in the DMV area. My journey in community service began at the age of 12 with Rozzie Reps, a nonprofit in Roslindale, where my friends and I organized neighborhood clean-ups and advocated for causes like gun violence prevention and underage drinking awareness. This early involvement sparked my lifelong passion for creating strong, supportive communities. My background in social work and talent acquisition has taught me the importance of staying organized and focused, especially when helping others navigate transitions. Over time, I realized that balance is key—structure matters, but carving out space for play and creativity is essential for a fuller, more fulfilling life. That’s what led me to create No More Sunday Scaries—a space for resetting, focusing, and starting your week grounded, with room for both personal and professional growth.Since moving to the DMV a year ago, I’ve been looking to connect with others and bring my passion for community-building to new spaces. Whether it's through No More Sunday Scaries or other projects, I’m committed to being part of inclusive spaces where we can learn, grow, and thrive together.
