At the Sir John Moore Foundation Museum, we are proud to present Sir Christopher Wren's only building in the Midlands. Still a school, it opened in 1697 to give a free education to the boys of Appleby Magna and the surrounding area. 300 years on, the school has undergone several changes, but the building remains. The Museum charts the history of the building, education, and local history. We host lectures and events, and we are a venue for community groups from across the Midlands. Our mission is to ensure as many people as possible enjoy Wren's building in the Midlands.
