CMDC’s mission is to provide the highest quality of dance training and performance in an environment that celebrates the diversity of its students and the community.  The Homer Bryant method of instruction delivers life-long benefits through its focus on discipline and personal development. For more than 25 years, CMDC has served and nurtured students of all abilities, from beginners, to mid-levels to professionals.  From Classical and Contemporary Ballet, to African Dance and Hip Hop, Homer Bryant and the CMDC instructors are committed to finding and developing the very best in each and every student.CMDC works hard every day and every year to bring  innovative and contemporary ballet to students and audiences in Chicago. With the support of this initiative we’ll be able to continue advancing the art of ballet, shaping Chicago’s identity, and building our diverse communities from the ground up through art.Homer’s motto for training is “The fun is in the discipline, the discipline is in the fun”. His students learn that through discipline, they can acheive their best in dance as well as carryover of this personal discipline into all of life. Many of the CMDC students have gone on to professional careers with companies such as Cirque Du Soleil and Alvin Ailey. Others students have excelled as doctors, lawyers, firefighters and news anchors.
