Go Rides. is a Village. The “Village” concept was started in Beacon Hill, a neighborhood in Boston. It is built on neighbors-helping-seniors so they can age in place by getting help with a variety of their needs. As the U.S. population ages, the Village concept is becoming a rapidly growing nationwide movement with hundreds of Villages offering a variety of supportive services to local seniors (e.g., transportation, social, light chores). A study in Montgomery County of those 50 and above showed that over 90% desire and intend to continue to live in their own homes and in their neighborhoods. As these seniors age they will need some level of support to live safely and happily. Olney Home For Life, Inc. is a cost-effective, and rewarding way for citizens in Olney to provide—and receive—those services.
