Hello everyone! Here is the story behind this run club.My name is Victoria Dodd, and I am running London Marathon in April to raise funds for Leukemia Research, alongside my wonderful boyfriend, Harry! ❤️In July of 2023, my little cousin Anders received a heartbreaking diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Since then, it's been a journey filled with challenges, but also incredible resilience and hope. I previously ran Copenhagen marathon last may and raised over 8,000 CA Dollars to support him and fund leukemia research, for which I am immensely grateful for all your donations.Anders has undergone a successful bone marrow transplant, marking a significant milestone in his battle against leukemia. His strength and determination inspire me every day, and I am beyond proud of him. Leukemia is a frightening disease, especially when it affects young children like Anders.That's why I'm continuing my fundraising efforts by taking on another Marathon - this time in London!Anders' story is just one example of why ongoing research is crucial. While he is receiving exceptional care at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Canada, and benefiting from advanced treatments, there is still much to be done in understanding and combating this disease. Some of the treatments he's received are still in the experimental stage, highlighting the urgent need for further research and development.Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in the lives of leukemia patients like Anders and countless others.Thank you so much for your continued support and generosity!
