Kayleigh, known as The Historical Herbologist, is dedicated to enlightening others about the rich history and cultural significance of herbal medicine. She uncovers the fascinating folklore surrounding plants, exploring their historical roles in healing and their relevance today.By enjoying chamomile tea, foraging for wild garlic, or using a dock leaf for a nettle sting, we continue a legacy of traditional remedies that have persisted through time.Kayleigh invites participants to join her on an immersive journey into the world of mystical plants, where they can explore their histories, properties, and uses. She engages attendees through interactive workshops that cover the challenges these plants have faced throughout history.Her lifelong fascination with Herbology deepened when she earned a distinction in the Certificate of Herbology from The Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh in June 2023. Now pursuing a two-year Diploma in Herbology, she established The Historical Herbologist in October 2023 to share her knowledge. In May 2024, she also became an Ambassador for The Herb Society, promoting the appreciation of herbs through education and community involvement.Through her workshops, Kayleigh aims to foster a lasting connection between individuals and nature, inspiring stewardship and responsibility for the environment while empowering participants to cultivate meaningful relationships with the natural world.
