We are local volunteers having fun working together – and with others - on down-to-earth Holywell projects to help safeguard our future in the face of the growing crises we face.
We set up community gardening, planted fruit and nut trees in the community. We got the Holywell Heritage Trail and it's interpretive panels done and improved the footpaths around Greenfield Valley. We were the driving force behind Flintshire Council’s two new access-for-all “Active Travel Routes” in Holywell - making it easier for people to leave their cars at home! We also support local enterprises, art and crafts people and entertainers by hosting festivals in the summer.
We support FairTrade (“free trade” often means “free to exploit”) and we also support “Flintshire City of Sanctuary”. We look at saving energy and investigating renewable energy potential of area: We made a start – but this is very challenging.
Restoring pride in our town with public art projects... and moreTransition is about moving to a simpler, greener and fairer way of life.
