We aim to be a welcoming, caring, Christian community that draws on the best from the riches of tradition, and modern liturgical practice, to make the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ live for the people of across St. Neots today.We host a range of services and events in our ancient church buildings and occasionally at other venues.These include traditional services, recitals, plays and musical performances by groups and choirs. Profits may be used to raise funds for the maintenance of our buildings, for the benefit of other charities or as civic or community occasions.St. Mary's Church Eynesbury is recorded in the Doomsday Book and is the resting place of James Toller, who is known as the "Eynesbury Giant". James died in 1818 and was reported to be eight feet one and a half inches tall. The church would have been one of the few buildings James could have entered without bowing his head. He was buried inside the church through fear at the time of the exploits of body snatchers.Our church is home to pews dating back 500 years which are adorned with a host of strange, carved wooden animals, known as the 'Eynesbury Zoo. There is still debate around what these creatures actually are. Perhaps they are here to remind us that we are all part of creation?
