GSAID was founded with the main charter of bringing students to understand and appreciating the rich Persian culture, art, and history, through cultural, social, and recreational activities. Our mission is to participate in the enhancement of the university’s diversity and existing multicultural framework to strive and foster friendship among different cultural groups and provide a source of union and support for Iranian communities at Duke and other adjacent universities in the Triangle area.
