The IAM® - Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique is a short and simple approach to meditation that anyone can learn. It's a powerful way to reconnect with our real center and thereby experience true joy and peace in life. Born out of Amma's deep resolve for our spiritual enhancement, this technique, when practiced with dedication, is designed to bring integration into our lives - an integration of body, mind, intellect and heart.It is taught for free by trained volunteers during retreats and throughout the year at many locations. It consists of energizing exercises, or yogic postures, followed by meditation. The technique integrates movement, breath, sound and visualization.Versions have been taught to thousands of people worldwide, many of whom have been given instruction in company or organization-sponsored classes, such as: the Indian Army, Navy, and Paramilitary; Whole Foods Corporation; Genentech, USA; State University of New York; and the Juvenile Detention Center, Santa Fe, NM.Currently, there are four versions of IAM-35: a 35 minute practice; IAM-20, a 20 minute practice; Youth, ages 15-18; and Youth, ages 10-14.
