I am a Plymouth-based glass artist specialising in fused and flameworked glass and glass jewellery. I fell in love with glass and did my first flameworking class back in 2003. I was based at Royal William Yard for the past 10 years and have recently moved to a lovely bigger studio at City Business Park.I have been fortunate to learn my craft through masterclasses with some of the world’s best glass artists including Narcissus Quagliata, Craig Mitchell Smith, Helen Gorrick, Anouk Jasperse, Bea Stoertz, Heather Trimlett, Sabine Frank, Claudia Trimbur-Pagel, Claire Hall, Bob Leatherbarrow and many others, along with many hours of hard work and experimentation in my studioI worked in education for over 20 years in schools, colleges and university prior to becoming a full time glass artist. I have been teaching glass in Plymouth and the South Hams since 2017 and for the past 3 years I have taught fused glass and fused glass jewellery at Arthouse, South Brent which is another stunning venue with beautiful views of Dartmoor. As well as my bookable workshops, I also run private and corporate workshops for participants of all ages from adults to children as young as 5. I think glass is a such stunning, versatile and unique medium that everyone should have a chance to try it. I really love seeing people’s joy (and often surprise) at their beautiful, unique glass creations.
