JustDane's mission is to help transform individual lives and social systems to create a just and equitable community.JustDane is a private 501(c)3 non-profit that offers an array of direct service programs for individuals and families in the criminal justice system. These services include prison reentry programs and services for children who have an incarcerated parent, community events designed to help people understand what it’s like to walk in the shoes of someone newly released from prison, and jail and prison in-reach programs.JustDane's Reentry programs provide support to people as they reenter the community after incarceration. Just Bakery is a vocational training program for people with significant barriers to employment. Healing House is a place where families that are unhoused can go to recuperate from medical treatment.All of JustDane's initiatives are based in Dane County, Wisconsin and are funded through generous donations and grants. Volunteers and community support are a vital part of the programs provided.The events that JustDane hosts are community engagement, fundraisers, volunteer appreciation and for program participants.JustDane envisions a community where everyone has a chance to succeed.
